Harvard President Claudine Gay was one of the several who, last week during congressional hearings on anti-Semitism on campus, proudly and firmly informed us that they’re simply free speech advocates, and that includes — checks notes — calls for the destruction of Israel. …but apparently not speech that might make, say, overweight people feel bad.

I agree that this is exactly the issue that should be debated, understood, and resolved. However, that was never going to happen. Not in any meaningful, widely understood, public manner. Such intellectual integrity has become unthinkable, even at an elite college like Harvard or Penn, let alone in mass media or the country at large.
I will take the win, even if it's only on plagiarism. If we even get that much.
