My friend's elderly mom LOVES masks and actually fell last winter and broke her ankle from the fall - and she explicitly said it was because she was wearing a mask and couldn't see well. But she still loves masks and doubles up on masks AND wears a face shield AND goggles when she has to travel in public...
My 82 yo aunt fell and broke her leg last year leaving the stupid doctors office. She walked off the curb and fell because she had her mask on. The damn office still has a light up sign outside that switches from "wear a mask!" to "6 feet apart". It really pisses me off. I'd love to cut the cord on that damn sign...
And you live in a warm climate. Try wearing glasses and a mask in the winter. Even if you only put the mask on when you enter the building, your glasses fog up and stay that way for several minutes.
