They've done a good job making people distrust their good old-fashioned common sense. There are now so many agendas, so many people profiting off of their version of the truth we must return to our common sense to navigate the maze. It just makes sense that masks are harmful. No one needs study after study (promoting one side or the other) costing us millions of dollars to figure these things out.
What do you say to the millions of people that claim they're "no big deal," perfectly comfortable, and wear them all day long and call everyone else a selfish crybaby?
(First, I think most of them are full of shit and just doubling down on their choices. If people actually loved restricting their breathing 8 hours a day they'd have done it voluntarily before 2020.)
I'm curious what you think is going on for the large number of people that claim masking is an entirely untroubling experience for them. Is it all talk?
There are tons of people WILLING to suffer to further their identity. Smoking cigarettes hurt the body, smokers chose to ignore that pain. Ballerinas break toes in ballet shoes, they still do it. A woman pregnant and having a baby has accepted pain into her life. Pretending is a horrible thing, it's a lie.
People should be truthful about the pain experienced, and why they CHOOSE the pain because it benefits them personally at some level.
I'd word it stronger. Those who claim no discomfort are massive liars. There are some who do recognize the discomfort, and have faith that they're "saving lives". I'm not a person of faith, I'm math driven, and ANY faith position makes my skin crawl.

You never mandate pain.
So your position is that people who claim they don't mind wearing masks at all aren't being honest with themselves about their choices?
I'd word it stronger. Those who claim no discomfort are massive liars. There are some who do recognize the discomfort, and have faith that they're "saving lives". I'm not a person of faith, I'm math driven, and ANY faith position makes my skin crawl.
So they're lying to others as well, or they're just trying to keep themselves convinced of something that has become a point of identity?
both
Exactly, that’s what I always told people.
