Our incorrect science justified banishment, but it changed, so...
If you're for civil liberties now because the science changed, you're not for civil liberties.
Some of the folks who advocated for the banishment of the unclean unvaccinated last year…
…now say The Science changed and so the unvaccinated shouldn’t be banished after all.
Even setting aside the atrocious lack of awareness of civil liberties, this makes no sense even from a community transmission perspective. The point of vax programs is herd immunity, which protects even the unvaxxed. But if you push the unvaxxed into their own clusters, you get unslowed transmission through those clusters, which I raised to her just before she blocked me.
…and is something I talked about in this Moment last summer.
At any rate, our rights don’t depend on the data…
While it’s good she switched, she seems not to actually have changed her views on the two key things:
Even if the vax worked as she mistakenly thought…
(1) violating civil rights was morally unjustified, and
(2) banishing the unvaccinated made no epidemiological sense.
100%. We need to stop coming to the wrong conclusions. There are two fundamental questions for me : 1. Do you own your body or does someone else? 2. Is society a natural human state of being or a construct of govt that requires us to “take one for the team” at their behest even if we may be injured in the process?
How their thinking and actions appear to me: I demand you do what I do and make all the same decisions I do, as well. Otherwise I’m not validated and relevant until all fall in line with me. S
The reality is, they’re nothing more than a poiled little b*tches who feel entitled to tell the world how (Self) important they think they are.
