If you had the chance to implement your ingenious scheme to make the world better, but it would require violating civil liberties en masse, would you?

I loved that twitter thread! Best regards from Norway
None of my ingenious plans require it! Even my evil plans don’t require it.
No I wouldn't. We've had 2 nearly 3 years of idiots trying to make the world better. With more to come and it never ever turns out well. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Absolutely not. One can not make the world better for even the many (let alone all) by violating the liberties of those people. At best you can make it better for yourself and or your group which is exactly what those with $$ and power are trying to do and scarily enough they've done a good job so far because most are unwilling to believe those with money and power who say they want to change the world are going to actually try.
The only way to make the world better is through cooperation. This doesn't have to be cooperation of everyone nor even the majority. As long as you have a large enough size, a plurality, that no resistance can prevent it like with Americas civil war which was not started by the majority.
No of course not 😅
