The old Dear Abby etiquette advice has stood the test of time: If you're having a wedding and someone says "I'm not coming if so and so will be there", the correct response is "we'll miss you".

This is what people need to tell themselves "for each snipped connection, many more open, and among better people." In my home country Bulgaria (where resistance is huge and this won't happen) we say "Everything bad is for good." The thing is these people didn't change because of the situation. They were like it. This is a chance to create a better world. As a biomedical scientist I know many will die and be damaged but we can't save them. This is their choice. What is important too: Nothing lasts forever. Merry Christmas and I am sure we will have a happier new year.

It's a status game all the way down. I've compared vaccine passports to Priority Pass for the whole city. That's really why many people find them appealing. They aren't scared of the unvaccinated. But carrying proof in their pocket that they are Elite feels great.

Exactly! Many aren't even scared of covid anymore! They just like this "pass" idea.

I just saw that Steve Kirsch was "born again" on Twitter. I know, off-topic, but I can't find your other post re: your "ex-communication" from Twitter. Don't quit trying! Can we do something to help convince the Twitter overseers?

Apparently Abir Ballan got reinstated because of a SUPER MASSIVE retweet campaign to Twitter Support.

Not easy to replicate non-organically!

Thanks!

This is so saddening, and such a disappointing visual for so much of humanity. That they can fall into such nonsensical exclusivity and/or not have the courage to stand up against it.

I've run into similar issues before. If someone is that ignorant on the issues then that's their loss and your gain. It is fun to be wrongly ostracized, but you're welcome to hang out with me!

2021 was the year of the great sorting. It’s been painful but better to now know the weak character and intellect of those we formerly associated with and to find the company of the open-minded and strong willed.

I'm sorry that happened. People too prejudiced to want you there and people to cowardly to ignore the prejudiced people. We're all really seeing people's true colors. I've been uninvited to a party or two because I have said, "I don't discuss my medical info." Luckily tonight I was at a party where no one cares if you're vaccinated or not. Refreshing. Might be trite to say, but: Their loss!!
