Your remarks are of only tangential interest. We in Ukraine wore them mostly around our chins, and laughed when an occasional old lady would chide us for not wearing them right. A PA announcement on the metro said "Wear Masks Properly" and nobody did. We wore masks through the door of restaurants and took them off immediately.

Interesting question is why some societies were so draconian and others so relaxed about it. I suggest that it is because Ukraine had had decades of BS immunization and still has an ornery rebellious streak. Might call it the Snake Island Syndrome. The world needs more of it.

We are, BTW, only about 14% fully vaxxed and 36% with one shot.
