When freedom calls, you stick your neck out
My science journalist friends abandoned me, so I’ll be calling on you to help get the word out about my new book, EXPRESSLY HUMAN, on the importance of emotional expressions
Prior to Covid I had hundreds of science journalist contacts on Twitter, my discoveries and books having been covered in many hundreds of articles over the years, and myself having written for many magazines.
Once Covid hit and The Great Covid Hysteria began, most of those hundreds of journalist contacts quickly unfollowed me, many derisively attacked me, and some explicitly wished my books be blacklisted. (Not joking.)
Only one dared ask me for an interview, and that was so severely censored, cut and edited down that the oomph of the interview was gone. She herself was frightened to even publish what remained.
So, after ten years of research, my sixth book — EXPRESSLY HUMAN: Decoding the Language of Emotion, with Dr. Tim Barber, which is on the evolutionary brilliance of our emotional expressions — is finally available for pre-order, and the question is, Will science journalists cover it?
Or will journalists de facto censor it — or even try to pillory it — because of my prominent anti-lockdown position?
In fact, they have a second reason to censor the book, because the book is now ALSO implicitly about one of the great harms of face masks: that they destroy our most important language, emotional expressions.
So, I suspect they will indeed censor it. They’ll try to mask over the book that drives a final nail in the face mask narrative.
That’s where you come in!
I’ll be relying on my new network of intellectually minded, free expression respecting, anti-authoritarian friends to help get our book’s message out to the world.
If you have valued my standing up for freedom and free expression over the last two years, help me get my new book in the arms of all those who need to see it.
Which is pretty much everyone, because almost no one seems to grasp the importance of emotional expressions.

Congrats and look forward to reading your book. Hopefully, one day soon the tables will turn. They always do.
Looks an interesting book!
Can we still call them journalists?
