The whole point of the Precautionary Principle is to protect us from ourselves
It's not "OMG, let's take precautions!"
Emergency physician, Kashif Pirzada, calls out Team Reality friend Stefan Baral.
But he misunderstands the Precautionary Principle. It’s not about taking precautions against threats, but rather, taking precautions against new untested policies. The principle says that the burden is on those proposing the new interventions to show they work w/out worse harms.
The whole point of having the Precautionary Principle is NOT for the obvious “Hey, let’s take precautions!”
The point is to protect ourselves from human biases and tendencies to be unable to see the full consequences of our actions, as I talk about in my first video censored at YouTube, available below at Rumble.
