When it looked as though Musk would buy Twitter I briefly indulged in a fantasy where (given that in Europe at least he’d have been legally required to censor or face severe financial penalties) each censored tweet would proudly display, concealing its text, a banner stating that ‘this tweet about medical safety/women’s rights/the efficacy of lockdowns (or whatever) has been censored by Twitter in accordance with US government guidance/EU Regulations/ the Online Safety Act’.
I don't believe that Elion's motives for purchasing Twitter where about free speech, he just used that as an angle. That's not to say that he wouldn't make it free speech enabled had he acquired only that his true motive for acquiring Twitter wasn't because he wanted to make it truly free speech enabled.
The 1st Amendment is listed first because it is the most important of all 10. I know there's more than 10 I'm referring to it as it was when executed. The second amendment is the next most important for it helps re-enforce and or protect the 1st, the 2 are a pair like a husband and a wife; they are needed for each other.
