Some ways to conspicuously signal your ungovernability include
(1) loudly announce it
(2) look formidable by working out
(3) let them know you own firearms
(4) show you’re willing & able to engage in risky behaviors, like rock climbing or motorcycling
(5) smoke
1: Not so much, I'm more of an "acta non verba" sort of guy
2: 6'3", 190lb, I guess I got that covered (swim/racquetball 3-4x/wk)
3: Does the FN sticker on my car count? My various gun shirts? etc...
4: Yah, riding motorcycles
5: I smoke my pipe every day, go out for a cigar once in a while.
They ran the numbers for 2+ years and the results are in. Sadly, as long as the bad guys control the communication channels, the cost of abusing us is near zero. Maybe in another age or in some local context signaling your disobedience would prove fruitful, but I think we all know in the short term this idea is mostly wishful thinking.
