With abortion back on the radar, folks are again pretending that you have to be a weird religious person to believe that there might be a developmental stage where abortion should not be legal.

Imagine believing that it could only possibly be for religious reasons that one might believe there should be prohibitions on abortion after some stage of development.

Some of this attitude toward the religious is due, I think, to the human irrational prejudice of other communities. A very religious person might say something quite reasonable, but end up so coloring it up by in-group mannerisms that outsiders mistakenly see as literal. …and therefore irrational.
