Among those testing positive for Covid, the probability they have the omicron variant rises with the number of vax doses, suggesting that vaccination has selected for omicron.
Here’s a little hyphen horizontal bar graph illustrating just how dramatic the relationship is.
—— unvaccinated
——— 1 dose, 1.57x
————- 2 dose, 2.26x
————————— 3 dose, 4.45x
See Norman Fenton who I first noticed point this out from ONS data…

To be clear, everyone in this data set has Covid. It’s just that the more you’re not vaccinated, the more likely you have some other variant besides Omicron.
The vaccinated are Omicron super spreaders, which, really, just means that, among the thousands of variants floating hither and thither over the last few years, Omicron happened to be able to infect the vaccinated disproportionately well, and so got selected for.
And that will always be the case.
Right now there are already infrequent variants coursing through communities that are “ready” to become dominant given 2024’s supercharged Pfizer booster.
The mechanism for the selection is what's interesting to me. What property of the vaccination allowed this to happen? OAS?
Crap. I don't want delta or alpha...was hoping for Omicron...oh well. Still vaccine-free....and happy about it.
