A neighbor in the Nextdoor App wrote…
Yesterday, posted at a local store, I saw this perfect sign that says it all:
NO MASK,
NO SERVICE,
NO CRYBABIES.
My reply:
Never mind that literally all the randomized controlled trials show that masks don’t work.
Never mind that even surgeons never have worn surgical masks in order to slow respiratory viruses, which are spread via smoke-like aerosols which go through and jet out the gaps, but instead wear them to stop material from the surgical field from landing on them, and less so to stop always-bacterial-ridden spittle from landing in the theater.
Never mind that nearly all transmission occurs from someone who is symptomatic, making masks moot even if they worked.
Never mind that the infection fatality rate is broadly like an average flu, a bit worse for 50 and up, and safer than flu for <40. So…. get some sense of proportion.
Even if you believe masks work, any sensible person should scratch their head as to why businesses are forced to make their customers wear them from the hostess stand to the seat, and then proceed to take them off for two hours, so that 99.9% of their time in the restaurant is unmasked. And crack down on customers and businesses who “put everyone in jeopardy” for not wearing their mask for the appropriate 0.1% of the time.
You’re in a mass hysteria. Wake up.
Their response?
and YOU just violated nexdoor's Terms of Service in 17 different ways. Bye!
Think about that. THAT’S the response: “I am able to censor what you said, and so I will.”
Should I be so aggressive with neighbors?
When your neighbors attack the masked and unvaccinated as “unclean” and dangerous, and attack people or businesses pushing back on the draconian interventions, you need to push back harder.
They have been tearing apart society and civil rights for nearly two years, and are using mask and vax mandates as a political purge, keeping their political opponents out.
I talk about that in one of my Moment videos, but as it was banned from YouTube you have to watch it either at Rumble or IGTV.
1. Good for you.
2. It is the most obvious thing in the world that what we are living through, for many people, is psychology with health as the excuse. She wants to signal her superiority over others. She gets a pleasure out of forcing people who don't want to do X, to do X anyway. That's what this is about for her. It's not about health, not at all. Disease mitigation is the best excuse to exercise that impulse that has come down the pike in years because it is so all encompassing.
If SCOTUS affirms OSHA's mandate, that's what you'll see on social media. It won't be "yes, we will be a healthier society now!". No, it will be "ha ha, take that anti-vaxxers, get your shot, ha ha". That's the motivation now.
