“Hundreds of millions lost their jobs, tens of millions of businesses were shut down. And these disproportionately affected the poor. The developing world has been set back by a decade or more. Governments coordinated with social media to censor and silence opposing “misinformation.” Voices against the interventions were targeted for being fired from their institutions. Doctors proposing early treatments were canceled or fired. Billions were forced to wear a useless and harmful mask all day long at work, despite lacking symptoms and it being known since the start that asymptomatic transmission is rare. Billions were forced to take an insufficiently tested vaccine that doesn’t reduce transmission for a disease with little risk for them and for which they had already gotten and recovered. The unvaccinated were fired and often banished from the public for not taking the medication. Much of the world even supported refusing hospital treatment for the unvaccinated.
Progressives think this is progressive.
Imagine partaking in the greatest violations of civil liberties in generations — ones that didn’t even lead to the intended utilitarian consequences — and thinking it’s funny.”
Exactly. What weirds me out are the accusations of "communism". If lockdowns/mandates were "communist", they'd be transferring wealth from the rich to the poor, not slaughtering the poor and hapless and jobbers, while making billionaires into multi-billionaires, and concentrating capital into the hands of fewer and fewer.
We are in desperate need of a better critical analysis of lockdowns/mandates.
Fucking communists
