Quite interesting. However, even with this perspective, I still can't think of a way in which binocular cinematography could actually improve any scene in a movie, i.e., make it more entertaining. Perhaps there is a VR application?
I wonder if the same is true for surround sound? I've never had much use for it. I prefer simple stereo and just have a bare-bones Onkyo amp driving a pair of speakers.
