10/7 and Kirk: A Shared Logic of Hatred
The reason many on the Left reveled in the murder of Charlie Kirk was not simply because he died, nor merely because he was murdered.
It was because they believed their side had done it.
Just as Jew-hatred exploded on 10/7 after the perceived humiliation and weakness of Israel, hatred of the moderate Right exploded upon hearing of Kirk’s assassination.
Only a politically motivated killing by someone who hates the Right could serve as a humiliation worthy of celebration. Kirk was just one of tens of thousands on the Right, but he was the one their side managed to “take out.” An accident wouldn’t do—accidents carry no humiliation, no reputational sting.
Likewise, only a massacre by Hamas could humiliate Israel. A tornado would never suffice.
In both cases, the perpetrators and their supporters also worked to invert the narrative: to revel in the blow while denying the victim the moral capital of martyrdom. After 10/7, Israel was smeared as if the massacre were a psyop, self-inflicted. After Kirk’s death, the story was spun that the murderer was a man on the Right.
The propaganda aim is clear:
~ Celebrate the fact that their side struck the blow.
~ Shift blame to the victim’s side, denying them martyrdom.
Always got to somehow make it about or at the least include Israel? Hatred against the heterosexual European looking right leaning white Christian male has been putting up with far more hatred than the Jews have in America. There was NO problems with the way college students were treating them on campus. It was ONLY after those same groups started including Jewish students that it was somehow a problem. Prior to that Jewish billionaires like Bill Ackman didn't have a problem with or care about how some student were being treated. It was only when the Jews got included that he took notice and got involved. They are the only group of humans it is fully acceptable on all platforms to say the nastiest of the nastiest about. We always have to find some way to make sure Israel is get some of the attention to.
What happened on Oct 10th was far worse, far more evil and heinous than Kirks assassination. It's nowhere comparable which is why when you make this comparison it appears as if its being done solely so as to try and get some of that Kirk Assassination love/support for Jews/Israel because everything must be about them.
